I grew up in Thomasville, NC where I was confirmed and baptized into the Methodist Church.
Some years later, our family moved our membership to a local United Church of Christ.
Although I was exposed to church and Christian teachings all my life, I did not know Jesus. It wasn’t the fault of my parents or the churches we attended – they did the best they could. The final decision for Christ was up to me.
On April 8, 1973 in the gymnasium of Thomasville Senior High School, I committed my life to Jesus Christ. Later that year, I answered God’s call into the ministry (He used Romans 10:13-15). In pursuit of that call, I received the Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Catawba College, Salisbury, NC, the Master of Divinity from Lancaster Theological Seminary, Lancaster, PA and the Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA.
I now have recognition of ministerial standing through the Evangelical Association of Reformed and Congregational Christian Churches (the Evangelical Association) and I serve as a Regional Director for that organization.
